611 High Street

I'm sitting here in my empty apartment. 611 is no longer my dwelling. it's definitely bittersweet, because i LOVE this apartment. it has so much personality and is just great. BUT, having your own home, must be better. i can't wait to live there too.
This is the front door to my building. i like the downtown feel, in such a teensy downtown. It's called Old Towne Portsmouth. I really like it..sigh..

So, it seems the suburbs of pensacola are calling my name, but it's gonna be good! With that said, i say good-bye VA and this chapter of my life.

MOVING!!!!!!!

Well, i am fast approaching the day. the day i will no longer call virgina home. i mean, i guess the only things about this that cause me to be sad are my friends and virginia is for lovers, after all. I am ready to move on. my new house is say "kristi, come live in me" and that makes me smile. I am tired of going through the massive amounts of , yes, crap that one accumulates over the years and about 80% of it you really don't want or need. I have donated about 5, yes 5, 30 gallone trash bags full of clothes to the goodwill and sold 2 to plato's closet. can we say pack rat? or is that just sad? so yes, in the next few days i will load my car and start the next chapter in my life..woohoo! and the movers come tomorrow!!

OH! and this is why i will miss the VELLA GULF! the silliness! trying to find something fun in the not so fun. just making others laugh! this is kenny! kenny is super cool because his birthday is sept 2 too! only he's about 9 years younger than me, but that's ok. anyways, i'm assuming this was taken during sea an anchor as the ship was either enter or leaving cypress. they are on deployment right now, so remember to keep them in your prayers!

ThE bIrThDaY gIrL....

Yep, yesterday was my birthday. I turned 29, yikes! I officially have less than 365 days until i turn the big 3-0! But, i am super exicted about this! I am going to live it up and enjoy the last days of my twenties and when 30 comes, i will be ready and willing! haha.., no really 30 is going to be a GREAT birthday!! I have goals..yes...many will not be reached before i enter the next decade, but hey...i'm a grown up, i bought a house!

My Time Has Come...!!!

"Ding! Ding! Hospital Corpsman Second Class Surface Warfare Kristilynn DeJager departing" that is what i heard and this is what i saw as i was bonged off the ship today! it was definitely bittersweet. I have been ready to move on for a couple of months now, but i will miss so many things. I saw many places and met so many people, from all over the world! It was amazing. I learned much too. The boat leaves tomorrow for a seven month deployment and i wish them all well. I pray that they stay out of harms way and make it back to the arms of their loved ones. Farewell Vella Gulf!!

THE SUPER SEXY G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S SHOES!!

Well, i am sitting here, on the ship (it's a duty day) watching rhythmic gymnastics and cleaning out my files on the computer. Just 5 days left on the ship!! Anyways, i was going through the pictures i have hidden away on here and i found the picture of the super sexy shoes!! My dear friend, Kelly and I went shopping for shoes, for Carrie's wedding. i am sure Carrie is super happy we did NOT pick these, even with all their glam.

Well, mom and i just recently took a little trip down to Pensacola, where i will shortly be calling home. We looked at what felt like 23478923848 houses! Finally i found one that i like..well i really like it a lot! i am so excited to move in and actually live there! first homes are so exciting, it's like growing up and truely being independent! hehe.
